FAQs
Q: What is Little Ambassadors’ Philosophy?
A: At Little Ambassadors, we believe that all children can learn a foreign language. We are creating a love of language and culture through a playful, non-performance-oriented environment. Our emphasis is not on achieving language proficiency, but rather on exposing children to language and culture as natural elements in their world. Parent participation and modeling are integral elements of a toddler’s growth in foreign language development.
Q: Can we try out a class for free?
A: Absolutely! One free class per child, please—new students only. Child can only join an ongoing session on a space available basis--Saturday classes may be full. (Priority goes to re-enrolling students and those who pay upfront.) Please call or email Little Ambassadors to reserve your spot.
Q: What if my child misses a class?
A: Students who miss a lesson may make up that lesson in an age-appropriate class (if available) that same week (up to two make-ups per session). Unused make-ups cannot be carried forward to the next session. If your child is absent, please contact Little Ambassadors to schedule make-up attendance in another class. We are sorry that based on limited class offerings, we may not be able to accommodate all missed lessons.
Q: Are visitors allowed?
A: Little Ambassadors can only accommodate one adult for each toddler in the toddler class, and cannot accept un-enrolled infants, siblings or guests in class. Children’s classes are reserved for children who are toilet-trained. Parents of Children's classes may attend with their child on their first day but must remain outside by the second class.
Q: Can I bring both of my children to the same class?
A: Yes, though we do not recommend having siblings in the same class, if at all possible. Also, if they are in the same age group and developmental stage, we require that an adult attend with each child.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Please contact us about discounts. We offer discounts for siblings, more than one language, and for paying for multiple sessions upfront. We also offer discounts for those enrolling in classes twice per week. Coming twice per week offers your child greater exposure to the language, and promotes more rapid gains in proficiency. Children love repetition, so the familiarity of the routine encourages them to participate more, which also improves proficiency gain. Lastly, two times per week means two times the fun!
Q: If my child is unable to attend the class after he/she is registered, can I get a refund?
A: We are sorry, but due to limited availability, we cannot refund tuition after the first week of class. We will, however, try to accommodate your child in a future session on a space available basis.
